Then we'll take you out to discover what this incredible country has to offer. Arusha is a fun city to explore, a fascinating urban complement to the thrills on offer elsewhere in northern Tanzania's safari parks. Here you'll get to experience lively streets, tasty local food, and busy markets and museums. More than anything else, it's a window into life in a provincial Tanzanian city.

Breakfast

Many travelers rate Tarangire among their favorite national parks anywhere in Tanzania. Here in Tarangire, you can look for lions, leopards, and cheetahs. But you won’t have to look hard to see baboons, vervet monkeys, wildebeest, giraffes, hippos, buffaloes and zebras. And you’ll come across elephants and baobabs everywhere, two giants of the African bush. Also an enjoyable part of your Tarangire experience will be the rolling savannah scenery, which includes rivers and low hills. And while it can get busy, crowds of cars will not be a problem here.

Today you'll visit Ngorongoro Crater, one of the most beautiful natural sights in Africa, a place where you'll experience otherworldly beauty with extraordinary wildlife. Watch as, from above, morning mist rolls up and over the crater rim, and notice how the steep walls suggest a place unlike any other. Down below on the crater floor, explore a lost world preserved in a state of pristine isolation, one that shelters lions and hyenas, elephants and black rhinos, flamingos and golden Jackals. There are also forests, hippo-filled lakes, a salt pan and hyena dens, and you'll never lose the sense that you've stumbled into a safari theme park where everything's wild.

Central Serengeti National Park

Experience classic safari scenery with acacia trees and savannah grasslands, as well as plenty of wildlife, when you visit the Central Serengeti.

Activities Day 4

Morning
This morning we'll be taking you to the next stage of your safari, but you'll also get to enjoy one last game drive along the way.
This morning you'll join us on a guided game drive through Ngorongoro Crater. Apart from looking for the arnazing wildlife (lions, black rhinos, spotted hyenas and more), your guide will show you the many beautiful corners of the crater floor.

Afternoon
Keep an eye out for wildlife this afternoon as our transfer to the next part of your safari doubles as a game drive.

On your visit to the Northern Serengeti, there's a good chance that you will see big cats, elephants and more. Just as special as the animals you'll see is the scenery you'll get to explore. Far more so than elsewhere in the park, the north is dominated by rolling hills, mixed with grasslands and light forests. There's also the Mara River which marks Tanzania's border with Kenya.

Visitors love Nungwi, which has one of the most beautiful beaches on Zanzibar Island. Nungwi is also a top spot from which to watch the sunset. This was a major boat-building center where they once made the traditional wooden sailing boats called dhows. You can learn about turtle conservation while you're here

Zanzibar Stone Town is a fascinating place to visit. A Unesco World Heritage Site, this absorbing port town was once the hub of a trade network that extended across the Indian Ocean to Persia, India and beyond.
