Arusha is a fun city to explore, a fascinating urban complement to the thrills on offer elsewhere in northern Tanzania's safari parks. Here you'll get to experience lively streets, tasty local food, and busy markets and museums. More than anything else, it's a window into life in a provincial Tanzanian city.

Activity Day 1

You will be transferred from the airport in Kilimanjaro Airport.

If you've never been to Tarangire (and even if you have) you're in for a real treat. Tarangire is filled with giants - baobab trees all across the park, as well as elephants, lots of them. But that's just the beginning. Of the big cats, you'll probably see lions, and cheetahs and leopards are around, too. And it's impossible to miss the wildebeest, giraffes, hippos, buffaloes and zebras. Your backdrop for all of this is one of the prettiest in northern Tanzania, with a memorable mix of river woodland, open plains and rolling hills. And some vantage points to take it all in.

When you explore the Central Serengeti, you're enjoying one of the best wildlife destinations in northern Tanzania. Here you'll find the big populations of wildlife for which the Serengeti is famous. You'll also have a good chance of seeing big cats. This area has plenty of northern Tanzania's iconic acacia trees, as well as seemingly endless Serengeti horizons.

Keep an eye out for wildlife this morning as our transfer to the next part of your safari doubles as a game drive.

Rest of Day
You never quite know what you'll see on your guided game drive in the Central Serengeti as your guide takes you through some of Tanzania's best wildlife country.

Activity Day 4

All Day
Come and see the best of Central Serengeti National Park as we take you out on a guided game drive. It really is a terrific way to feel a part of Africa with the wind in your hair as we drive you around to look for animals.

Activity Day 5

All Day
You'll be joining us in Centrall Serengeti National Park for a guided game drive. It's a fantastic opportunity to see some of the animals you came so far to see.

Activity Day 6

All Day
You'll be heading down more safari trails in search of animals in Central Serengeti National Park when we take you on a guided game drive. This is the best thing about many safaris, and you'll hopefully see many animals.

Today you'll visit Ngorongoro Crater, one of the most beautiful natural sights in Africa, a place where you'll experience otherworldly beauty with extraordinary wildlife, Watch as, from above, morning mist rolls up and over the crater rim, and notice how the steep walls suggest a place unlike any other. Down below on the crater floor, explore a lost world preserved in a state of pristine isolation, one that shelters lions and hyenas, elephants and black rhinos, flamingos and golden jackals. There are also forests, hippo-filled lakes, a salt pan and hyena dens, and you'll never lose the sense that you've stumbled into a safari theme park where everything's wild.

It's time for you to go on a guided game drive in Central Serengeti National Park this morning. No matter how many times you go, you'll never grow tired of the experience.

This afternoon we'll be taking you to the next stage of your safari, but you'll also get to enjoy one last game drive along the way.

Zanzibar Stone Town is a fascinating place to visit. A Unesco World Heritage Site, this absorbing port town was once the hub of a trade network that extended across the Indian Ocean to Persia, India and beyond. Stone Town's rich and varied pedigree is reflected in the distinctive architecture of the multi-story coral stone houses that line its alleys, as well as the cosmopolitan feel of the local Swahili culture.

You will be transferred from the airport in Zanzibar Airport.

Zanzibar Island is a fascinating place to explore. The long, beautiful beaches that hem in this tropical Indian Ocean island are a big part of its appeal. Another highlight is the atmospheric old Stone Town, a time-warped knot of winding alleys that leads past some fine historic buildings and bustling spice-laden markets. Offshore, a series of fringing reefs and coral gardens offers wonderful snorkeling and diving, too.
